The truly amazing thing about Bruce LEE is how much he accomplished in such a short span of time. He died in 1973 at the age of 32, with just five feature films to his name — one of which, “Game of Death,” was assembled posthumously around 11 minutes of footage shot before his demise. Despite this fact, Lee may be the only Asian American with household name status nearly everywhere in the world — he’s certainly the only Asian American on the Time 100 list of the century’s most influential individuals. That’s why Hollywood Sunset Pictures Inc produced BRUCE THE CHALLENGE and in this year of the Dragon fits perfectly, the film has 500+ theatrical screens and WorMr. Ed Parker known as the Father of American Karate for bringing Martial Arts to the main land for the first time and opening up his first school in Pasadena Ca in the late 50′s. He is also the founder of Kenpo Karate and the I.K.K.A. (International Kenpo Karate Association) In 1966 he began the first of its kind Martial Arts Tournament in Long Beach CA at the Long Beach Convention Center calling it The Internationals. This is where Mr. Parker introduced Bruce Lee to the World giving him his Legendary start leading him to his first appearances on Television. That led to a screen test for the Green Hornet TV series. This is how Bruce the challenge begins. In rare and unseen footage of the real Bruce Lee a challenge is put forth to get Bruce Lee to get in the ring with one of the fiercest Martial Artist known to the Martial Arts World. Nik (Knife) Catello convinces his agent to hunt down Bruce to get him to do his first interview,(and what we know now to be the last interview with Bruce). Just so Nik can lay down a challenge in the mist of the interview. But things turn out much different, a must see Film bringing Bruce Lee back on the big screen!!!
This Film Stars the above mentioned Martial Artist/Actor Nik Catello, Oscar winning Actress Ms. Shirley Jones playing Grandma Lulu (reprising her role as Lulu Banes form Elmer Gantry) Don (Hollywood) Yates of American Gladiator fame to play the heavy And Marty Ingles to play Gramps. CFI will be enhancing all the Bruce lee archive footage matching all the new footage shot to make this film seamless, for this rarely seen footage of Iconic legendary Martial Arts Superstar Bruce Lee. This film will take a look at in a fun and very exciting entertaining way the skills of Mr. Lee in away never seen before. The film will be released sometime in late fall by LOINSTAR Int’l releasing.
